Neck and Head Immobilisers for Patient Transport
Just like back board, splints and other immobilisation equipment, neck and head immobilisers are critical for the protection of individuals who may have suffered an injury to their neck or spine. Even if injury has not been confirmed, the use of an immobiliser is a necessary precaution until further action can be taken in a controlled environment at a medical centre.
Rapid Rescue stocks head immobilisers built to keep the neck and head still and aligned with the spine as the individual is retrieved and transported to an ambulance or medical centre. This is a critical step to prevent further pain for the individual and, even more importantly, to prevent unwanted movements that may dramatically exacerbate the nature of the injury. Any further complications carry a high risk of paralysation or death.
